Locks for Life

As a student photographer exploring a range of genres at university, I have discovered that advertising has become my main drive to produce work. I enjoy the initial stages working with a product, brainstorming its strengths and qualities in order to communicate an idea that promotes it to the public. Looking at the solid craftsmanship and weight of the ABUS lock I wanted to show its potential as a life long security product. Using a prison escape gone wrong as my theme I am showing that the prisoner was unable to escape due to the unbeatable quality of the ABUS lock. The title ‘Locks for Life’ is a reference to the urban term ‘lifer’ meaning a prisoner for life.
